Eyelash Extensions

Before You Come

  1. Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with mild, oil free cleanser.
  2. Do not use oil based makeup removers to clean your lashes prior to the application.
  3. Do not put on any mascara. We don't want to spend time cleaning it out. We rather spend time working on perfecting your lashes.
  4. Do not curl your lashes. Straight lashes work better.
  5. If you are a contact wearer, remove contact lenses and wear glasses to your appointment. Or, bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive to your appointment.
  6. Plan to set aside 1.5 hours for your appointment. Bring your own IPOD or favorite if you like. Being a very relaxing procedure, most of our clients fell to sleep during the procedure. You will be amazed when you wake up with gorgeous looking lashes.

Making Your Lashes Last

To maintain long lasting lashes, requires team work. We have done our part of extending your lashes. Now it's up to you to maintain them. Please follow these guide lines to achieve the best results.

Aftercare Instructions: The first day

  • Do not expose eyelash extensions to water for the first 24 hours after application.
  • Your face should be washed with careful care to avoid splashing water at eyes.
  • Do not swim, shower, or use hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas for 24 hours.
  • Your first night, while the glue is still curing, make sure you do not sleep with your eyes being pushed into your pillow. It is best to prop your head so your eyelashes are left untouched by the pressure of the pillow.

Aftercare Instructions: General

  • Do not allow moisturizers, oily eye creams, or any oily eye makeup removers to come close proximity to your lash extensions. Any products containing oils will break down the glue's bond and you will prematurely loose lashes and cause caking of the glue.
  • Use only water soluble products, oil free products around your eyes. We recommend Guinot Gentle Eye Cleansing Gel or Andrea Eye Q's and gently pat dry your lashes.
  • Rubbing, pulling, picking, or over-cleaning the lashes will cause premature loss of lashes. Do not attempt to remove any extension lashes by pulling-plucking.
  • Do not to use any mascara on your lash extensions. Mascara will dissolve the adhesive and shorten the lifespan of your lashes. If you must use mascara- use the kind for sensitive eyes and that will wash off with just water (water based mascara). NEVER use waterproof mascara.
  • Do not curl your lash extensions, or put any chemicals on them (no tinting or perming your lashes).
  • After 24 hours, occasional short visits to the sauna or steam room is fine. However, daily or extensive exposure to steam or intense heat may cause the bonding agent to loosen. If this happens, you may require a Re-Lavish application to correct any lash that may have fallen off or tilted in direction from your natural lash.
  • Keep an eyelash comb handy to straighten up any stray lashes. Every single lash is individually extended. No clump, no knot so it is safe to groom our extension lashes. Comb lashes carefully and gently only when needed.

Touch Ups

  • I offer a free 10-14 day touch up ... I'm so confident of the quality of these lashes, that I'm happy to provide this service at no charge.
  • Please be sure to come in at your 7-14 day free touch up on schedule. After the 14 days, you will be charged.
  • You can expect to come back at 3 to 5 week intervals for touch ups. You should have at least half the lashes left at the time of your maintenance recall. I have a sliding fee scale according to how many lashes you have left.

Other Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What is Eyelash Extension?
A1. Eyelash extension is a new procedure that extends the real lash with a new weightless and very natural looking synthetic lash.

Q2. How does the extension performed?
A2. The synthetic lash is applied hair by hair to each of your own lash using a special bonding agent that lasts through the length of your natural growth cycle of each lash, which is between 60 to 100 days.

Q3. Then why do I need to come for retouch every 3 or 4 weeks?
A3. Good question. Normally, not all of your eyelashes fall out at the same time. They replenish gradually day by day. You might loose 1 or 2 lashes each day but when your lashes are short, you don't notice it because they are all pretty much the same length. But when your eyelashes are extended, when some lashes fall off, you notice them right away because now, there is a length difference. Don't worry, when some lashes fall off, there are plenty of new ones that have come out ready for the eyelash technician to refill. That is when you need to come in to be beautified again. Some people like the full look all the time and come in every 2 weeks, some prefer coming in every 3 or 4 weeks. You can come as often as you want depends on your financial and time permit.

Q4. How do I take care of it?
A4. Eyelash extention are easily maintained. Just don't rub your eyes too hard when you clean them. Avoid any oil based cleansers, lotion or make-up remover. Gel cleanser is recommended. Use a small Q-tip to carefully clean the eyeliner around the eye.

Q5. Can I use eyelash curler?
A5. Not recommended because the synthetic lash already come with a very nice curve to it.

Q6. Can I use mascara?
A6. Not recommended because we picked very high quality lash which already comes with a good thickness to it. When you use Mascara, it defeats the purpose of having natural looking lash since it clumps together. Waterproof mascara is definitely not recommended because the cleaning agents will loosen the adhesive. If you insist then only use non-waterproof mascara only on the tips of the lashes. We also offer special coating mascara made for eyelash extensions.

Q7. What do I do before come in for the eyelash appointment?
A7. You should clean your lashes with mild cleanser. Don't use oily makeup remover to clean your lashes prior to the application. Don't curl your lash. Don't put on any mascara. Bring your iPod or your favorite music to listen to.

Q8. Is the lash extension glued to my skin?
A8. No, the extension lashes are glued about 1mm away from your skin. Neither the synthetic lash nor the glue ever come in contact with your skin.

Q9. Is the glue odorless?
A9. Absolutely, our glue is odorless. No burning or tearing will occur.

Q10. How do you remove the extension lashes?
A10. There are 2 ways:

  1. Come and let us professionally remove them with a special remover. Please do not attempt to remove them yourself. The glue is very strong.
  2. BEST WAY----Let the extension lashes slowly fall out by themselves. Which takes about 2 months.
